AHCP (Nairobi, Kenya)

Africa Health and Community Program focuses on providing opportunities to the women, children and youth living in low-resource and impoverished communities in Kenya. We deliver support in form of need driven interventions especially in the areas of women empowerment, entrepreneurship, child and adult education, health, sanitation and computer literacy. We believe that sustainability and participation-driven community empowerment will continue to be fundamental instruments for development and poverty reduction in the decades ahead. Our overarching goal is to create a self-reliant community capable of efficiency and adequately responding to its needs using an integrated and inclusive approach.


CCPDD (Bukavu, DRC)

Citizen Campaign for Peace and Sustainable Development is a grass-roots organisation based in Bukavu (DRC) where we work to help the local communities overcome the trauma caused by the prolonged conflict. We run seminars on conflict management and prevention, provide practical assistance to vulnerable populations and organise collaborative projects to support community cohesion and overcome differences. CCPDD is concerned with protection of the environment and committed to promoting development solutions that are both integrated as well as sustainable.


Women2Women (Cape Town, South Africa)

Women2Women is a grass-roots organisation established by survivors of sexual violence and aiming to assist those affected and looking for help. Since their inception they collected numerous stories through their Facebook page and organised monthly self-help healing meetings. The organisation also collects and distributes information on second tier organisations including location, capacity and services provided. These include hospitals, clinics or shelters for referrals as well as community centres that can refer their own members who are in need of support. Women2Women team runs campaigns to raise awareness on prevalence of gender-based violence in their community.
